Die Dauerausstellung im Hauptgebäude informiert über die Naturausstattung des Nationalpark Berchtesgaden und über die Zusammenhänge in der Natur.<br />Die Ausstellung einen Ausschnitt aus der Natur des Nationalparks Berchtesgaden mit seiner Höhenausdehnung vom Grund des Königssees bis zum Watzmanngipfel dar. Dabei werden die 4 typischen Lebensräume Wasser/Wald/Almweiden und Fels nicht als reale Natur nachgebildet, sondern abstrakt und kulissenhaft in einem begehbaren Panorama inszeniert.",
"en": "In Berchtesgaden, the \"House of Mountains\" was opened in 2013 as a new environmental and information center for the national park. The permanent exhibition in the main building provides information about the natural features of the Berchtesgaden National Park and the interrelationships in nature.<br />The exhibition presents a section of the nature of the Berchtesgaden National Park with its altitudinal extension from the bottom of Lake Königsee to the Watzmann summit. The 4 typical habitats water/forest/alpine pastures and rock are not reproduced as real nature, but are staged abstractly and scenically in a walk-in panorama."

"de": "2av übernimmt die Film- und Medienstationen für verschiedene Themenbereiche der Ausstellung, welche in der bestehenden Dauerausstellung verändert werden. <br />Die erste Station zeigt einen Animationsfilm zur Unterwasserwelt des Königssees. Der Film mit Projection Mapping erläutert die typischen Aspekte des Sees indem es u.a. Teile der Nahrungskette darstellt. Die Bespielung ist als eine dynamische Infografik umgesetzt worden. Sie ist jahreszeitenunabhängig und autoaktiv. <br />Die Medienstation »Lebendiger Gebirgsbach« ist im Übergang der Bereiche Wasser und Wald in der Ausstellung als längliches Bodenfeld gebaut. Der Bach soll als filmische Bespielung den Bereich beleben und den Lebensraum Gebirgsbach im Wandel der Jahreszeiten darstellen.<br />Die Filmstation Aasökologie, zeigt den Prozess der Zersetzung eines toten Eichhörnchens durch Insekten.<br />An der Medienstation »Wasser im Nationalpark« sind die beiden Themenbereiche Wasserkreislauf im Nationalpark und Kleinstlebewesen in einem Bergbach auf einem Monitor abrufbar. Der Besucher bekommt zum Einstieg einen Film gezeigt und hat anschließend die Möglichkeit zwischen diesen beiden Themen zu wählen.",

The film with projection mapping explains the typical aspects of the lake by showing, among other things, parts of the food chain. The projection mapping has been implemented as a dynamic infographic. It is season-independent and auto-active. <br />The media station \"Living mountain stream\" is built in the transition of the areas water and forest in the exhibition as an elongated floor field. The stream is intended to animate the area as a cinematic display and to depict the mountain stream habitat in the changing seasons.<br />The film station carrion ecology, shows the process of decomposition of a dead squirrel by insects.<br />At the media station \"Water in the National Park\", the two topics of the water cycle in the National Park and microorganisms in a mountain stream can be viewed on a monitor. The visitor is shown a film to start with and then has the opportunity to choose between these two topics."
